GhostPopSuper Logo & Animation
My dear friend, Avery Harrison asked me to design the logo for his youtube channel GhostPopSuper, a home for gaming, art-centered videos. We drew inspiration from manga, anime, and video games titles to create the logo and I had the pleasure of animating it for use in the channel videos.
Sketching for this logo was a blast because of the wealth of playful approaches to title design that can be found in video game and manga. This process was incredibly imaginative and allowed for lots of daring ideas. We played a lot with unique letterforms, tight kerning and overlapping characters
Once a sketch was selected, I tried a lot of color and style treatments on the design. Adding dimension, strokes, or gradients changed the character of the mark just as much as the color palettes. See the final animated title below which combines a few.
