This Is Not A Bill
Sometimes, the mail is exciting. You’re awaiting a new shiny thing or a big check. But most times, all your mailbox has for you is another credit card offer, another marketing postcard, another bill. This project was crafted to help you get the most out of the post. Because you deserve better letters.
This is Not a Bill is a gratitude practice in which I send free handmade postcards in response to small celebratory moments submitted by anyone who chooses to share. It was first launched in Spring 2020.
Since launch, the project has fulfilled over 200 postcard requests to 29 states and 5 countries and was featured on WDET’s Culture Shift program, and in Detour Detroit in January 2022.
